Countries File Proposed AI Resolution to United Nations
Last week, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, stated that artificial intelligence had the potential to shape the society, economies and the world for the better. Thomas-Greenfield, together with 40 other U.N. member states, revealed that the United States has introduced an initiative that would ensure that AI’s benefits extended around the world to nations. The initiative requested that United Nations member states promote secure, safe and trustworthy artificial intelligence systems to address challenges that affect countries around the globe.
