Research Finds AI is More Trusted for Medical Advice Compared to Doctors
New research from the University of Kansas Life Span Institute has determined that parents who sought medical advice on their child’s health were turning to artificial intelligence more than doctors. For the study, the researchers asked 116 parents aged between 18-65 to rate texts generated by either ChatGPT or an actual doctor, under an expert’s supervision. The researchers found that parents rated texts generated by artificial intelligence as more trustworthy, moral, and credible.
